Design to Make a Difference!

Design to Make a Difference is a conference by designers from different fields held last October 23. The forum tackled topics on how creative minds share their talents to socially-relevant events and topics. They recently uploaded to their site inspirational videos for young creatives to serve as an outlet to improve the craft and camaraderie of Pinoy designers. Here’s part 2 of our interview with multimedia designer Lai Reyes, conducted via e-mail correspondence by Katherine Cheng.

1. What do you do?
I specialize in Graphic Design, Web Design & Development. I am proficient in Adobe (Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator & After Effects), Macromedia (Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Director 8.5, Maya 5 & 6.5. I also do manual and digital photography.)

2. Do you think that what you’re doing can make an impact on other people? In what way?
I believe that my work inspires others to jump out of their boxes or boundaries and just have fun.

3. What’s so special about your work?
I don’t really know. A lot of people admire my work for its uniqueness. Maybe it’s the “me” factor that shows when I create my works of art.

Showing my work and expressing Pinoy pop culture through different mediums.
