Design to Make a Difference is a conference by designers from different fields held last October 23. The forum tackled topics on how creative minds share their talents to socially-relevant events and topics. Here’s part 2 of our interview with multimedia designer Lai Reyes, conducted via e-mail correspondence by Katherine Cheng.

1. What do you do?
I specialize in Graphic Design, Web Design & Development. I am proficient in Adobe (Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator & After Effects), Macromedia (Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Director 8.5, Maya 5 & 6.5. I also do manual and digital photography.)

2. Do you think that what you’re doing can make an impact on other people? In what way?
I believe that my work inspires others to jump out of their boxes or boundaries and just have fun.

3. What’s so special about your work?
I don’t really know. A lot of people admire my work for its uniqueness. Maybe it’s the “me” factor that shows when I create my works of art.

4. What are your goals where graphic design is concerned?
Showing my work and expressing Pinoy pop culture through different mediums.
